Vessel with Two Lugs

Description

The form of this early earthenware pot corresponds rather closely to the red earthenware vessel with horn-shaped handles (1997.186) nearby. The attractive, gritty fabric of the clay body, the sooty black firing marks as well as the folded and hand-crimped rim help clarify the evolution of this functional shape in early Korean ceramic history.
